INVITATION
The Christ University Debate Society proudly welcomes you to the first ever Model United Nations held at Christ University. The MUN, which will be held from the 28th -29th August, 2010 seeks to incorporate the strategies and techniques used in the real United Nations World Assembly to familiarise participants with global issues and diplomatic ties. P.S. This mess will be off the chiz-ain.

ABOUT MODEL UNITED NATIONS

A Model United Nations replicates the diplomatic dealings amongst member nations in the United Nations Organization in the form of a simulator which provides the participants with an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the political structure, alliances and foreign policy of the nation they choose to represent as delegates. Apart from that the participants learn to discuss global issues, pass resolutions and involve themselves in international affairs.
The Christ University MUN seeks to enrich the participant’s database and knowledge about concerns that are global in nature and provide the participant with the know-how of the workings of a body like the U.N.O.

● Each participant represents his/her nation as a delegate in either the Security Council or Economic and Social council.
● Each participant is acquainted with the process of forming international ties with other delegates.
● Participants are also allowed to register to represent the World Press which chronicles the events of the day.
